Keep up with sports news and scores

The ESPN App for Windows 8 is a sports news, scores, and video aggregator.

The interface of The ESPN App for Windows 8 is beautifully designed. It goes along with the tiled interface of Windows 8 and Windows RT. Swipe to reveal more stories, videos, and articles. Articles are presented with a big photo or video on the left with text on the right. It's easy to read and videos played back smoothly.

Activating the secondary menu in Windows 8 or Windows RT will bring up a bar with top scores of recent games as well as quick access to different sports and categories. The ESPN App for Windows 8 organizes everything very well, making it easy to quickly access different types of content.

Videos played back smoothly and can be viewed in full screen. The ESPN App for Windows 8 will let you continue reading your article while the video runs. The full screen mode is basic with only a pause and 30 second rewind button. Most video content in The ESPN App for Windows 8 are short clips, so don't look for full broadcasts here.

The biggest problem that The ESPN App for Windows 8 faces is occasional instability and some articles pop readers into a browser. The ESPN App for Windows 8 occasionally crashed but was stable for the most part. It would be nice to see all content in The ESPN App for Windows 8 show up within the app, instead of having to rely on the browser.

Overall, The ESPN App for Windows 8 provides a great way to keep up with all your sports news.
